THE GERMAN AMBASSADOR AND OTHER TWO MP’S VISIT TO KOMFO ANOKYE TEACHING HOSPITAL
His Excellency Daniel Krull, German Ambassador to Ghana, and two other Members of the German Parliament, have paid a courtesy call on the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), Prof. Otchere Addai-Mensah and his management team to discuss issues of mutual interest.
The two Members of Parliament were Mr. Volkmar Klein, a member of the Economic Cooperation and Development of the German Parliament and Mr. Lutz Lienenkämper, State M.P. and former Finance Minister for North-Rhine Westphalia, both widely recognized for their visionary leadership and commitment to healthcare excellence and international cooperation.
Discussions during the meeting highlighted the need for continuous adoption of innovative solutions to address current healthcare challenges in Ghana and the provision of world-class medical services to the community.
The meeting also acknowledged the ongoing efforts to comprehensively modernise facilities, improve patient care and advance medical research at the hospital in line with international best practices under a number of interventions initiated by management, government and the Asantehene.
The consensus was that prudent allocation of resources to promote healthcare infrastructure development, technology integration, enhancement of medical training and research was critical to strengthening the hospital’s capacity to fully exploit the growing opportunities for quality tertiary healthcare services in this part of Africa.
The meeting concluded with a renewed
sense of purpose and a commitment to advancing the “Heal Komfo Anokye Project
(HeKAP)” as a significant step towards the hospital’s ongoing mission to
elevate healthcare standards and make a positive impact on the lives of
patients and the broader community.
