SPRINGFIELD GROUP DONATES DIALYSIS MACHINES TO KATH

In a gesture of corporate philanthropy, the Springfield Group, a reputable oil exploration company in Ghana has donated two refurbished dialysis machines to the Renal Unit of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) valued at 20,000 United States Dollars.

Speaking at the handing over event, the Corporate Affairs Manager of the company, Mr. Kennedy Noonoo, emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing healthcare challenges, stating, “We are ready to help you to improve the renal services in KATH by assisting with the maintenance and repair of dialysis machines as well as supply of requisite consumables”.

He said the donation was part of the five refurbished dialysis machines that the company has planned to donate to the hospital.

 

The donated dialysis machines promise to significantly expand the hospital’s capacity to deliver life-saving treatments to kidney patients in this part of the country.

Ing. George Boadu, Director of General Services of the hospital thanked the company for its assistance to the unit and the hospital and promised that care would be taken to maintain the donated dialysis machines so that many renal patients as possible would benefit from them.

Dr. Yaw Opare Larbi, Deputy Medical Director of KATH received the machines on behalf of hospital’s management and urged other public-spirited individuals and organisations to extend similar assistance to the hospital to help it improve renal care to the public.
